We had to say good bye to Aunt Kelly and we were sad to see her go. One of my favorite quotes from Dr. Seuss is "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." It was such a special treat to see Kelly, even though for just a weekend. So after dropping Kelly and Alex off we needed to distract Allison from the sadness so we took her to fly her new kite and try out her new hula hoop
It was late in the afternoon at the park across the street and we found the perfect opening to try out the kite.
Don't laugh, but her kite has a 52 in wing span, so it is a little too strong for her to fly alone.
Adam did most of the flying but Allie and I had a good time helping it take off. We laid on a blanket and watched Daddy fly the kite.
Adam kept calling it 'mothra' because it was so big
We are looking forward to seeing Kelly again in September...
