My post titles are going to be dates for a while, I want to remember as much as I can about their first year, but for obvious reasons (I'll give you two guesses) the year was a blur. After my Mom left my Mother in law was so kind and came out to help for two weeks. I don't remember the exact dates but I know she bought our birthday dinner from Outback so I'm guessing she left around mid June. Please don't judge, all three of my babies mostly slept on their tummies. For day time naps the twins shared a crib and usually slept on their tummies. At night both babies got swaddled and slept on their backs. Annalise slept in the crib and Madeline slept in the porta crib in the living room with me because she was up at least twice a night. I miss our ocean view, but not our small condo.

I realize it's June, but I used the a/c in their room and I didn't want them to get cold. When sleeping in the crib, Madeline is almost always on the left. My Mom and I did this intentionally from the beginning for many reasons. I still find myself putting Madeline in the double stroller on the left. Now that I think about it her crib is on the left in her bedroom now. Funny :)
I took this picture because I needed a reminder of what my reality was... as you can see in most pictures they are sleeping like angels... this crying pic is a more realistic representation of my day. I didn't take any of Madeline because when she cried it was a siren and I was not going to prolong the screams to take a picture. Annalise still cries like this, as though she is trying to hold it in :(
Since she was born I've called Annalise my little monkey, so when my Mom got them these coordinating sleepers I had to put the monkey on Anna.
Madeline took forever (about 4 weeks) for her umbilical cord to fall off, when it did she had an amazing wave belly button. Sometimes it looked like a love knot. I thought it was cool enough at the time to take a picture...
Madeline is in the pink rock and play chair.
For Adam's birthday Mrs. Bailey and I loaded up the babies (a very rare voluntary outing) and had lunch with Adam down at the pier.
Doesn't he look handsome feeding Annalise ;)
Proof that I took a shower.
Adam's birthday cake, caramel apple cheesecake, I had help making it from Mrs. Bailey.
I have no idea how I got them both to sleep on our bed, I never let them sleep on our bed, if these pictures didn't exist I would swear this never happened. I know Allison was at preschool during the day and I don't remember much else. It also appears that Madeline got changed into a onesie and Annalise is still in her night time sleeper. Like I said, I can not explain these pictures...blur
I remember this was a day or two after Mrs. Bailey left. I know everyone was worried about how I would do so, to prove I was not crying in a ball on the floor I took pictures of my first solo walk to the beach. I did this walk a ton when Allison was tiny and I knew I could handle it. It was a huge accomplishment for me even though I was only out of the house less than an hour.
I am proud of these pictures because they prove I changed the girls out of jammies into real clothes. I'm proud I was able to function. Below are some of the earliest pictures I have of the pacifiers, they still love them today.
