New Apartment

It's official, we are moving out of Kalihi Valley! We found a wonderful apartment that we will be moving into at the beginning of April. Hopefully that will give us enough time to get settled before the baby gets here. Maybe she will come a week late to give us some extra time :) The address is , for those who want to google earth it. We are about a block away from Adam's office which is. We are also within walking distance to AlaMoana Beach. It's has a great walking/ jogging trail and will be a great place to walk with the baby. It will eliminate Adam's commute to work and cut mine in half, if not more.

Above is the view from our bedroom, the balcony has storm shutters that pull down from the top, they are pulled down a little to cut the glare and heat. Plus the curtains will be changed :)
This is the view from the baby's room. Yes, that is an A/C unit in the corner! There is one in every room. I never thought I would be excited about a window a/c unit, but I am. The view from the living room is very similar, it looks out over the marina with the private sail boats to the left of the building in the picture.

The building was built in 1969 so it's not new but it is in great shape. The property down here is worth so much they take good care of it. The unit we are renting is a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath. It has a washer/ dryer in the unit, dishwasher, and a/c in every room. It is a definite upgrade from what we have been living in. Our unit is just under 1,000 sq ft of living space with about 150 sq ft of lanai space. It is not big but it will suit our needs very well. The location is unbelievable. We have one parking stall in the parking garage so Adam is going to leave his car at his office. This place has everything we were looking for and then some. To my surprise, it has a pool and a covered bbq area.

We had to compromise on the move in date. Our official move in date is March 15th, we were looking for closer to April 15th so we now have to deal with some overlap in our leases but it is worth it to get the place we want in the perfect location. We are so excited! I will put up better pictures when we get our keys. Now all we have to do is pack up the old house, piece of cake. Probably not, but it will all be worth it once we are in the new place.
